Welcome to Charterhouse

Charterhouse is an award winning outdoor and environmental centre with facilities for schools, youth, college, corporate, family and community groups.

We are 30 minutes south of Bristol in the heart of the Mendip Hills - designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with crags, cave systems, plateaux and rolling uplands. We have on-site our own Nature Reserve with its wetlands, woodlands and grasslands, a climbing venue, several caves and numerous team-building challenges.
